("still")

views from the expo 'Stationary Motion' (Minus One Ghent).

To stand still by standing still.
Thoughts are  inevitable occuring phenomenons that continuously pop up, whether they're wanted or not.  The works presented in this exposition shows the capturing of them in another way.
Instead of letting thoughts taking charge, occuring whenever they'd come up, I tried to get a grip on them.
Thus a spontaneous act was transformed into nothing more then a curated moment. The act of thinking -normally spontaneous and existing out of smaller fractions- was by this action reduced to a timelength of writing full an entire sheet of paper. The texts formed are results from the stream of conciousness, a curated form to be written down, but without the possibility of it being unblocked by  external (surrounding) factors,
the materials presented are materials that translate and explain the concept.
